Ugly Christmas Sweater or Treasured Beauty??

Tonight was the Kaye Family Christmas Party, where all my siblings and I, and our spouses, come together for Christmas. The past few years have been a difficult time around the holidays, now that my parents usually stay down in FL. Each year it gets a little bit easier, and for the last two years, we have utilized Skype so they can be included, and we can feel like nothing has changed.

This year, however, we decided that we NEEDED a change. We needed to get out of our funk, and make it a little more fun.....a little more us! So, we decided to do an Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest. The rules are simple: you must bring an ugly Christmas Sweater, and the winner will be awarded "The Ugly Ornament" Trophy.

Well, indeed a winner was crowned. The moment Tony walked out in his sweater, the whole voting system went out the window, everyone laughed hysterically, and the whole family basically gave him the ugly trophy. Haha!

Dawn was in charge of getting the first ugly ornament trophy, and it is a dandy! Next year, this task will fall to Tony, as we have decided the winner must find and purchase the trophy for the next year. I cannot wait for next year! I cannot wait to see how everyone will top this year's ugly sweaters. Here are a few highlights:
