Flatts Fest 2011

Yesterday morning I woke up to the best phone ever! My sister called and said that she wasn't feeling well (terrible for her) and she was giving me her two tickets (awesome for me) to see Justin Moore, Eastin Corbin, Sara Evans, and Rascal Flatts at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre.

OH. MY. GOD!!!

I was speechless and super excited. I asked Heather to be my date, also an Über Flatts fan, instead of Tony, who is not really into country music. We arrived around 6:00, and made our way to the lawn to find some seats. We found great seats, front and center of the lawn! We had an amazing time, and laughed all night at the crazies that were in attendance. People watching is priceless! Not only was the concert FANTASTIC, but we saw.....

two bloody fights, one super huge guy so drunk that 4 guys were trying to hold him up, unsuccessfully, because he was still falling all over the place and rolling down the hill into the crowd; one prissy girl throwing up while her friends were holding her hair back, who then eventually passed out in her own vomit; a group of 18 year old girls trying to pass themselves off as 21 (hillarious!), one girl wearing a tunic as a dress with no shorts/pants underneath, BUT was wearing THONG underwear (we saw WAY too much of her coochie coochie), and plenty of skanky girls dressed as sluts and rednecks in overalls!

I loved every moment of the concert, and thought it was so neat how the crowd sang along with just about every song. There were times when the crowd was singing so loud that you couldn't even hear Rascal Flatts or Sara Evans. There was a karaoke contest before the show started, with tracks from only the 4 artists in attendance. During the show, while the singers were grabbing water or taking a break, they would show some clips. Jay (Rascal Flatts) came back on stage and said they were really impressed with how many were really good singers, but he also said that some should never sing again, and if you are one of those, sitting in the crowd, thinking to yourself that there wasn't really anyone that was god awful terrible, then you were probably that person. Haha.

Overall, it was definitely an amazing time we had, and I can't wait for their next concert!
